Little Elf Hat
Christmas is a favorite holiday at our house, in fact, my kids have already broken into the Christmas movies this year! But, that got me thinking that I need to start working on my Christmas crochet projects. So, I worked up this cute little Elf hat in toddler size (I am including instructions for a larger hat as well) and thought I would share the pattern on my blog! This is fairly easy to make, it starts with a magic ring and is worked in the round. I have included a photo tutorial for the pom-pom as well as a link to a video tutorial. :)
Materials:
~H/8-5.00 mm crochet hook
~Worsted Weight yarn (I used Vanna's Choice in Scarlet and Fern and Bernat Pipsqueak in white for the brim and pom-pom)
~Yarn Needle
Special instructions: Join all Rds with a sl st to first St of Rd, NOT your Ch

Rd 4: Ch 2, 2 Dc in ea st around, join (12 Dc)
Rd 5: Ch 2, Dc in ea st around, join (12 Dc)
With Red:
Rd 6: Ch 2, 2 Dc in 1st St, 1 Dc in next, repeat around, join (18 Dc)
Rd 7: Ch 2, 1 Dc in ea st around, join (18 Dc)
With Green:

To make the hat larger:
Make hat the same as the toddler size hat to Rd 19 and then continue as below
